Real-world example
Say you want to study Apple. Click the search box in the top bar, type “app”, and you’ll see Apple Inc. (AAPL) appear. Select it and SeasonalityX instantly runs the seasonal analysis for AAPL.
Step-by-step
- 1Click the search box in the top navigation bar (it says “Search a stock…”).
- 2Type a ticker (e.g. AAPL) or a company name (e.g. Microsoft).
- 3Use the ↑/↓ arrow keys or your mouse to highlight the right match.
- 4Press Enter or click the result to open its seasonal analysis.
What to expect & how to read it
You land on the Analyse page with the stock pre-filled and its patterns already loading. You’ll see a table of seasonal patterns within a second or two.
Common mistakes to avoid
- ✕ Typing a wrong or non-US ticker without its suffix — Indian stocks need “.NS” (e.g. RELIANCE.NS) and London stocks need “.L” (e.g. VOD.L).
- ✕ Expecting private companies — only publicly listed stocks and ETFs are available.
Tips for beginners
- ✓ You don’t have to know the exact ticker — searching the company name works too.
- ✓ The dropdown shows the exchange (NASDAQ, NSE, LSE…) so you can confirm you picked the right listing.
